Jan Levinson has over 35 years of experience in program development at the local, state, and national levels in the areas of primary care, managed care and long term care.

Most recently Jan was a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Commonwealth Care Alliance as Senior Vice President for Clinical Program Development and, prior to that, Senior Vice President for Senior Care Options (SCO) Program. In her 12 years at Commonwealth Care Alliance, Jan was a key member of the initial 10 member start-up staff, joining as the organization’s first Director of Program Development and assisting in growing the agency to its current 800+ staff members, demonstrating outstanding executive leadership in expanding the Senior Care Options program to over 7,000 members across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts through the introduction of key clinical initiatives aimed at improving care delivery to SCO participants and to enhance the support of clinicians in their work.

Prior to joining Commonwealth Care Alliance, Jan was Project Director for Neighborhood Health Plan (NHP), providing technical assistance and oversight to community health centers to address issues of primary care access, particularly for those with complex health care and social service needs. She also served as NHP’s Director of Population-Based Programs, where her primary focus was ensuring the effective operations of the managed care organization’s nationally recognized specialized Community Medical Alliance programs for those with HIV, severe physical disabilities, and children with special health care needs. Additionally, Jan was the Director of Planning at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center where she was involved with the dissemination of the health center’s Program for All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), a nationally recognized model for the delivery of medical, social, and long term care services for frail elders.
